Band Backer’s Update – April 26, 2024
Updates for April 26 - May 2, 2024
I hope that everyone had the opportunity to take in the concerts the last couple of nights at SHS. The Music Department put on two wonderful shows filled with vocal and instrument performances that should make instructors, students, and parents proud! Seeing these kids do things that they love is such a reward for the long hours, time invested, and money spent. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of Music in Southington - these kids are shining!
E-BOARD and VOLUNTEER UPDATES

E-Board Meeting Wednesday 5/1 at 6pm in Music Theory Room.
Band Backers Meeting Wednesday 5/1 at 7:30pm (Room TBD, shared over Remind).
EVERYBODY IS INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. Things seem slower now, but we are quickly going to be jumping into the 2024 Band Season - Mini Band Camp is right around the corner!
These meetings are foundational to the success of the organization and participation is vital to us constantly improving and keeping the bar high.
Agenda items include, but are not limited to:

Prior to this meeting, please think about your availability to volunteer your time and talents in the coming season. We have a few vacant chair positions and countless volunteer slots that will need to be filled throughout the year.

Last weekend to collect orders for the May Raffle Calendars! All funds & completed sales sheets should be turned in at SHS Wed 5/1 between 5 and 6pm or at the Band Backer meeting at 7:30pm. (No submissions will be accepted after this)
Remember: Top seller wins a PIZZA PARTY with 3 friends courtesy of Mrs. Ossias!
Winners will be notified directly and announced on Sundays (5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26, 6/2) via BKMB Facebook and Website.

Join the BKMB as the Futures League NB Bees take on the Brockton Rox! This family friendly night out is a great opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new ones while also raising money for the BKMB! Each ticket sold through our link will earn $4 for the BKMB.
